studying on duty as a military

Surprisingly, there are a handful of my high school batch mates who became US military. For some reasons, after being petitioned by their parents, relatives and fiancé’s they ended up joining the different fields of military life and are now serving the US country. Anyways, I heard that one of them are taking one of those online military degrees while serving his force in another war zone country. Yes, in fact it is his second degree already that he took online! for some reason, aside from being a well rounded military he also finds himself at peace whenever he studies online, probably gaining more knowledge and the thought receiving degree diploma’s soothes him well. Which I find really interesting and innovative especially offering degrees available for the military people on duty. With that, they are given fair right of gaining more knowledge as well as the honor of serving and protecting their country.

It’s the weekend once again and as expected, I am overwhelmed with work loads and that means, no weekend break for me! But that’s ok, not complaining whatsoever because I’m very thankful for the busy schedules I often face as it always equals to heftier income and stress-free life, financially wise.

So there, being swamped with work though means a little time to take care of the house that is why I am also thankful for having a caring and understanding husband who selflessly fills in to what I’m supposed to do given that he is not also busy with his buy and sell stints.

The little brat, is also being wonderful for she can now be left alone at her study table where she draws, colors and doodles to her heart’s content.

Overall, I’m very much thankful for the gift of life and for busy past weeks and is now looking forward to another week (loaded with work) again!

Indulge in cheap thrills- this is one great suggestion that I saw on my journal, that actually made me realized that in order to be happy you didn’t have to have the most expensive stuff on earth, just be contented and appreciate whatever you have and you’ll go a long long way :D

And speaking of cheap finds, here’s what I found while browsing through the Labor day sale items over at Gap site… fashionable tote bags that are perfect for everyday use and can be match and use with any clothing ensemble! and yes, as I’ve said pretty cheap, priced at $32 and $24 accordingly :D

Now that the holiday is fast approaching, Christmas present shopping is one of the things we tend to do as much as possible in order to come up with a nice and fab gift for the persons special to us. Actually for the girls in the family it’s not that hard to think of what gifts to give because I know what women wants, read: accessories, fashion items, chic clothing, jewelries, perfumes and the likes. But for men, it’s another story. Aside from crew-neck and polo shirts, I’m totally lost already. retirement plans

Whenever the husband and I talks about our future, we always discussed about our after retirement plans. You see, we wanted to retire early as much as possible so he said that as early as now, we need to come up with enough savings in order to cover up for our retiring stage of life. He also wants us to have a small business to take care of and even have enough money in order to buy investments such as bullion buying and the likes. That we all know will still be hitting the investment scene after lets say twenty to thirty more years to come. Hopefully, with our tandem on saving and coming up with intelligent purchases, we'll be able to make our plans happen.
And that means, that I should start over spending on so many things that I actually didn't need much. ouch.

vacant job slots

While doing my usual thing in the morning of checking out emails and stuff online, a previous office mate buzzed me over at yahoo messenger and told me that they are currently needing workers to fill the vacant production jobs at the company. Good thing she told me, because there are a couple of mom's neighbor who are on a job hunting scene. So I immediately told mom so she can relay the info to those two guys looking for work. Hopefully they get to be accepted and for sure they'll gonna love working at my previous company!

lovin' the long weekend

Thank heavens for National holidays! and even more thankful if the date falls on before or after the weekend, because it only means one thing.. extended weekend with the family! Actually, it's also the time where we can catch up with friends and run errands that we weren't able to do so during the past weeks. Just like the husband who was supposed to fixed the cable lines of our entertainment area, he said that he'll gonna do it during the time when the little kid doesn't have school so he can really focus on the idea of fixing those things. And also, we might go to the mall to have our grocery shopping and to check out vga cable that he'll be using for the fix. So there, it's gonna be a fun and fully loaded long weekend for us!

The husband and I often talks about our future plans, like buying investments and putting up a business that we can both take care of. And since there are more and more people buying gold bars
as their investment, we also thought of doing the same as soon as we get enough funds to do so. The logic is pretty obvious when it comes to buying and having this type of investment because we all know how price of gold doesn't change even at times when the economy is not doing well. And so that means only one thing, return of investment and profit is huge and definitely coming! :D Hopefully, things will turn out the way we plan it and nothing bad interferes with the plans :D

As mentioned for the nth time already, I am on a shopping rehab. But I don't know if life is testing my emotional quotient and self control. Why?! because my favorite shops online are having sales and other promos lately! And what makes me lose my mind?! it's the fact that my friends are shopping online for the past few days! Different stuff like bags (insert scream here), sexy casual dresses, fabulous tops and even shoes, sandals too! aw man. I wonder how much would it cost me to buy a gold coin from the www.usgoldbureau.com - the famous and leading seller of precious golds and silvers - in every form. Just as when I really promised myself and those who cared for me that I wouldn't buy another bag for this year, Longchamp (my recently crazed about brand of bag) just released their latest limited edition of Le Pliage which has a Great Wall of China print! And it was like OH MY GOODNESS! -kind of shriek you'll hear when a LC lover see these babies. And true to form, the design is really worth that rave and shriek!
